USA 2012 - Day 8 & 9

Day 8: We started off our long long journey (5 hours) to Las Vegas and bid good bye to LA. Thats us and the method to protect our eyes from the glaring sunlight is to wear our sunglasses...Handsome??

Daddy on the wheel

Its a long dry hot journey to Vegas...and mommy has lost counts of the number of times i asked her if we have reached. I must have asked her every 4-5 mins on the time, and how long more is the journey and if it is still far. Daddy is the driver and mommy is the time keeper and photographer.

We stopped over at Barstow for a short recharge and have some retail therapy over at the outlet where mommy and daddy grab more loots back into the car......

Finally!! Las Vegas Welcomes us!!

We checked in to Stratasphere Hotel, had a short rest before we hit The Strip with our Spiderman stunts.....

A great shopping at Hard Rock, the 4 levels high M&M shop and great walk along The Strip on a super hot day with a temperature soaring at 46degC........fear not...We the 2 spiderman are still alert and active while daddy and mommy are still in a good mood to hunt for more sunglasses at the Sunglass hut.

Day 9 starts with yummy Dim Sum at the Chinatown. See how Didi gulped down the big bowl of porridge and you will know how yummy it is or ....hmm....maybe he just missed chinese food. Haha....

After a hearty breakfast, Daddy drove us up to the Hoover Dam which is once known as Boulder Dam. It is a concrete arch-gravity dam in the Black Arizona of the Colorado River, on the border between the US states of Arizona and Nevada.

Here, for the first time, we learnt what is a Dam and what does the dam do......etc....knowledge learnt.....You learn this from the book...but looking at it in real form is nothing more than what the book can describe.

Look at our lobster faces and you will know how dreadful the weather is......

This is Lake Mead, the largest reservoir in the United States.

After a few hours in the hot sun, we really need to retreat. ....... to a place where we have fun and Daddy and mommy have fun shopping too! The LV North Premier Outlet ....
